Injured in group stage finale
Soucek was forced off with an injury in the 87th minute of Wednesday's match against Mexico due to an apparent leg injury.
Analysis: Soucek would exit the field late into Wednesday's match after going down in a rough scene, landing wrong on his leg and injuring his knee or leg in the process. A stretcher would come out for the midfielder, but he would walk off on his own weight, a rough way to end Czechia's tournament. He will now wait for further testing, as he hopes it is nothing major, with the midfielder set to start the league season in August with West Ham as they look to crawl back into the Premier League.

Analysis: Soucek found the back of the net with a header in the 78th minute, but he was a step or two offside so it was ruled out. While it didn't count, that goal exemplifies the type of goal Czechia is looking for, and Soucek's height and presence in the box is a huge asset in the box on set pieces. Soucek also provided solid defensive coverage in midfield early on, but struggled to keep up during the final stretch when South Korea took over the match.
