Analysis: Ferguson took six corners and was able to complete one of these six crosses as Scotland lost 3-0 to Brazil. Scotland will hope that they have done enough to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams. The midfielder won two of his four tackles and also made two clearances. He conceded two fouls in the match but has finished the group stage without a yellow card despite making five fouls. One of his corners ended in a great header that required a strong save from Alisson.
Strong defensively vs Morocco
Ferguson registered two crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Friday's 1-0 defeat to Morocco.
Analysis: Ferguson started his second consecutive match in midfield for Scotland, once again putting in a strong 90 minutes in the middle of the pitch. It was a strong performance on the defensive end as he won 10 duels and four tackles, in addition to making two interceptions and one clearance. Morocco only managed two shots on target throughout the match, and Ferguson's presence in midfield was a big reason why. He also took two free kicks and one corner on the attack and while those are great opportunities for assists, he was a bit off in the area. He took the final corner of the match in the 96th minute, but it was a poor effort as it didn't give his teammates a chance to find the end of it. Next up is the final group stage match versus Brazil, a match where Ferguson will need to be at his best on both ends of the pitch in order to get a positive result for his nation.
Corner taker in 1-0 win

Analysis: Ferguson took one of the three corners that Scotland had as they beat Haiti 1-0 in their World Cup opener. The midfielder was quiet for the rest of the game but did win his only tackle, made two interceptions and a clearance. The real point of difference for the midfielder was that he drew six fouls, only conceding one.
