Shankland registered two shots (zero on goal) and three chances created in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to Brazil.
Analysis: Shankland returned to the starting lineup having been left out for the defeat to Morocco. In both games that he has played in, he has managed to take two shots, and in this match against Brazil, he was able to create three chances for his teammates. His best chance came in the 76th minute, when he was only able to put his header just over the bar. He hopes that Scotland can qualify for the next phase as one of the best third-placed sides.

Analysis: Shankland failed to cause any major threat to Haiti, who managed to hold the Scots to a 1-0 victory despite a first-half goal from John McGinn. The striker was ready to prove himself on the world stage after an exceptional season for Hearts, scoring 16 goals as they narrowly missed out on the title. Shankland took two shots against the Caribbean side and failed to put any shots on target. He tried to press from the front but only won one of his four attempted tackles and conceded four fouls.
