Busy defensively in 3-0 loss
Patterson had one cross (zero accurate) and three tackles in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat to Brazil.
Analysis: Patterson had a busy game as Scotladn lost 3-0 to Brazil. The cross that led to the second Vinicius Jr goal was just over the reach of Nathan Patterson at the back post. He started his second game in a row, having been a sub in the opening win. He won two of his three tackles in the game and also made an interception and a clearance.
Solid in loss to Morocco
Patterson registered one cross (one accurate) and one tackle in Friday's 1-0 defeat versus Morocco.
Analysis: After coming off the bench in Scotland's opening match versus Haiti, Patterson worked his way into the starting XI Friday, replacing Aaron Hickey. He and the Scottish defense put up a solid performance, holding Morocco to just two shots on target. He won one duel, intercepted two passes and made two clearances on that end of the pitch. He also sent in one accurate cross at the end of the first half which resulted in one of the team's best chances in the match. After a solid performance, he's got a good chance to start the final group stage match versus Brazil on Wednesday.
