Quiet in 90 minutes of work
Musiala registered one shot (zero on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Thursday's 2-1 loss against Ecuador.
Analysis: Musiala was not at his best as Germany fell to Ecuador, as he played the full 90 but only earned one shot, a chance created and a cross, a bit of a letdown for the usual top-tier attacker. He has now gone two games without a goal contribution after a goal in their opener, as he likely expected more coming out of the group stage. However, he still remains a likely source in the knockouts.
Struggles against Ivory Coast
Musiala had two shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 victory versus Cote D'ivoire.
Analysis: Musiala got involved in some attacks, but he lacked the final touch to actually threaten the opposing goal. It was his second consecutive start, but he was subbed off near the 60th minute on each of those occasions. The young attacker has scored one goal over that period, but he must now prove his value with consistent production to avoid being ousted by Saturday's substitute hero Deniz Undav.
